Ryan Dosumu-Johnson MD, PhD Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

I am an experienced, compassionate Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatrist based in New York City. My goal is to work closely with you to optimize your physical and mental well-being. I tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and preferences in a thoughtful, collaborative way.

Trained at Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell as a psychiatrist and neuroscientist, I specialize in the care of patients across the lifespan. I address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and depression, drawing on neuroscience, clinical, and psychiatric experiences to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care.

I completed my MD and PhD in neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. I then trained in a combined general adult and child/adolescent psychiatry residency and fellowship at Columbia and Weill Cornell.

My approach is comprehensive and person-centered. I recognize that mental health is shaped by a variety of factors, including brain function, genetics, relationships, and life experiences.

In our initial evaluation, we will work together to identify these influences and clarify your long-term goals. By integrating the latest advancements in neuroscience with proven treatment practices, we will develop evidence-based, personalized strategies to ensure that your care is tailored to you. Some approaches may include talk therapy, interventions such as mindfulness practices, lifestyle changes, and/or medication management.

My office is located on 251 Central Park West. I see patients in person and via Telehealth on Tuesdays and offer virtual visits other days of the week.
